Lazuli, built at the end of the 19th century offers a
luxurious atmosphere with modern comforts and convenience in six
cabins, a large drawing room and a covered deck with tables and
chairs, sun loungers and mattresses to relax and a view the
passing countryside. Four of the cabins have double
beds and the other two cabins have twin beds.

Itinerary
Option 1: Lazuli
Cruise: 7 nights
Day 1 London/Luxor
British Airways or Monarch
Airlines flights from Gatwick, or Manchester at a supplement to
Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport transfer to the Al Moudira
Hotel on the west bank of the Nile and overnight
Day 2 Luxor/Esna/Cruise (El-Hegz)
Visit the west bank including the
funeral temple of Rameses III Medinet Habou; the tombs of the
nobles and craftsmen. Lunch will be in a traditional restaurant.
Later depart in convoy towards Esna, the port for the Lazuli and
begin the cruise to El-Hegz. Overnight on board.
Day 3 Cruise (El-Kab/Edfu/Ramadi)
Cruise to El-Kab and visit the
temple where Hathor and Horus used to meet. Lunch on board during
the cruise to Edfu and visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the
falcon god Horus. Sail to the Ramadi village and overnight on
board.
Day 4 Cruise (El Ramadi/El
Silsila/Kom Ombo)
Visit El Ramadi village, then
sail to El Silsila and visit the temple of Horemheb era. Visit the
ancient quarry where the temple stones were extracted. Sail to Kom
Ombo and overnight on board in front of the temple.
Day 5 Cruise (Kom Ombo/Aswan)
Visit the temple of Kom Ombo
dedicated to both Sobek the crocodile and Horus the hawk. Cruise
to Aswan and visit the temple of Philae, centre of the cult for
the Goddess Isis. Overnight on board.
Day 6 Cruise (Aswan/Fawaza
Islands/Edfu/Esna)
Morning at leisure in Aswan or
depending on wind conditions sail to Fawaza islands. Continue
sailing to Edfu and finally to Esna. Overnight on board.
Day 7 Esna/Luxor
After breakfast disembark and
transfer to Luxor. Check in to the Al Moudira Hotel for one night.
Day 8 Luxor/London
Visit to the famous Temple of
Karnak and the Luxor Museum. Later transfer to Luxor Airport for
your British Airways or Monarch Airlines flight to Gatwick or
Manchester
Option 2:
Cairo + Lazuli
Cairo: 3 nights
Cruise: 7 nights
Day 1 London/Cairo
EgyptAir from Heathrow. On
arrival transfer to the Four Seasons for three nights. You may
prepurchase the excursion package to see the highlights of Cairo
Day Cairo/Luxor
EgyptAir flight to Luxor and
follow the itinerary as detailed for the main itinerary
Day 11 Luxor/London
EgyptAir flight to Heathrow
arriving later the same day.
