** Please see bottom of this page for alternative
accommodations and prices.
If
you are looking for a luxury Nile Cruise combining a stay in
Cairo then our 10 night Luxury Nile Cruise would be
ideal.
(1 night Luxor, 6 nights Cruise on the Alexander
The Great and 3 nights Cairo at the Mena House Hotel).
You will stay at the luxurious Mena House
Hotel in Cairo and cruise the Nile on the Alexander The
Great deluxe Nile cruise ship.

The Alexander The
Great:
The Alexander The Great is a luxurious yacht that
is both elegant and sophisticated, offering the ultimate in comfort and service
on the Nile.
Each of the 30 suites are individually designed to
provide an ideal environment in which to relax and enjoy the splendours of the
Nile. All of the cabins are air-conditioned with an in-room safe,
mini-bar, satellite TV and DVD player and an en-suite bathroom with bath tub,
hairdryer and vanity mirror.
Your cruise includes breakfast, lunch and
dinner. The "Red Fiesta" restaurant situated on the third deck has large
panoramic windows overlooking the Nile and offers a variety of international
cuisine with buffet breakfasts and lunches and a la carte dinners, whilst the
barbeque on the pool deck is a great place to enjoy traditional oriental food
and music under the stars. There is a bar and lounge located on the fourth
deck which provides the ideal meeting place.
The sun deck is provided with a shaded area and
loungers to relax and enjoy the views of the Nile. There is a swimming
pool and jacuzzi plus a bar offering drinks and light
snacks.
The Mena House Hotel,
Cairo:
The Mena House is an elegant hotel, opened in 1869
and formerly a royal hunting lodge. Luxuriously furnished with arabesque
furniture, carved brass-bound doors and fine antiques, it is an oasis of calm
set in 40 acres of jasmine-scented gardens.
Here's what the Guardian's Travel
Section wrote recently about The Mena House:-
"This hotel is so close to the Pyramids you
feel the million-plus stone blocks piled into triangular perfection were a
secondary project to the Mena House's jasmine gardens and cabana-lined
pools. Still, this means the balcony views are spectacular and it's only a
15-minute walk back to the cool of your room after a day's
sightseeing"
All 523 rooms have bath, shower, satellite TV,
air-conditioning and mini-bar. Standard rooms are located in the new wing with
garden views. Pyramid and pool view rooms plus rooms in the old wing and suites
are available at a supplement.
Important Holiday Information
We have been advised that a renovation programme is
currently being undertaken at the hotel. The areas under renovation are some of
the guest rooms in the Garden Wing, the Oasis Restaurant and the Golf course. A
new pool is also being constructed in the Main Garden area. The hotel have
advised that they will endeavour to keep noise and inconvenience to a minimum
and hope that these necessary works will not impact on the enjoyment of guests
staying there.
