Stand before the Pyramids of Giza and the ancient site of Saqqara, unravel the mysteries of the Egyptian Museum and cruise along the timeless beauty of the River Nile.  Egypt is simply one of the most awe-inspiring countries in the world, overflowing with architectural treasures and stories of the ancient world.

Steeped in mystery and wonder, you’ll tour Cairo, home to the Great Pyramids of Giza; one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a marvel of engineering that has puzzled archaeologists over the ages. You’ll also experience the Egyptian Museum , which houses a sensational collection of antiques and treasures including mummies, sarcophagi and precious items that once belonged to Tutankhamen.

As this incredible tour unfolds, you’ll fly to Aswan and board the impressive 5: Beau Soleil for an unforgettable cruise along the Nile to the Egyptian city of Luxor. A river that has known civilisation since the beginning of recorded time, you’ll pass palm-covered banks and dramatic local wildlife before witnessing Lake Nasser, the Temple of Philae and the ancient beauty of the Valley of the Kings.

Days 4 & 5 These days will be spent cruising the Nile , passing local villages, fishermen and indigenous wildlife. Sight-seeing highlights include the High Dam which holds back the waters of the largest reservoir in the world; Lake Nasser.   At the nearby granite quarries, we will see The Unfinished Obelisk, left in situ because of a flaw in the stone. Also included are visits to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, the Temple of Kom-Ombo and the Ptolemaic Temple of Edfu, renowned as the best preserved in Egypt.

After disembarkation, you will enjoy a visit to the impressive Luxor Temple, as well as Karnak Temple , possibly the most extravagant monument and legacy of the pharaohs.
