Yesterday afternoon we closed the Nile Cruises 4u offices to attend the graduation of our eldest daughter Sophie who has just finished a four year BA Hons degree in Fashion Design.
It was the first graduation ceremony that we had attended for any of our children and the ceremony was really a very happy and positive occasion.
Two quite unique individuals were awarded honorary degrees. One was Liz Dawn, otherwise known as Vera Duckworth from Coronation Street and the other was Terry Mansfield who, amongst many other things is Co-chairman of Graduate Fashion Week. Both of them gave inspiring and positive addresses to the new graduates and topped off a joyful ceremony for everyone who attended, both students and parents and friends.
Our youngest daughter Anna-Lucy is starting the same course at the University of Central Lancashire in September and if she has half the fun and enjoyment that her sister has had we’ll be very happy.
Now, back to selling Nile Cruises…
