We receive a lot of enquiries from people hoping to take a Nile Cruise who ask us on which day of the cruise they will see The Sphinx and The Pyramids.
Of course most people dont’ realise that there is a big distance between Cairo, location of The Sphinx and The Pyramids, and Luxor from where your Nile Cruise starts and finishes. So on a 1 week Nile Cruise, which starts and finishes in Luxor, you will not see them.
You will see some of the most fantastic sights and you will visit some of the most wonderful places including the Valley Of The Kings, the Valley Of The Queens , The Temple of Luxor, The Temple of Karmak and so much, much more.
Plus you will learn so much about Ancient Egypt.
So to give you an idea of the distance between these two places I thought I’d add a picture, taken from Google Earth, showing how far it really is from Luxor to Cairo.
In actual fact it’s 721 kilometers.
A long way to travel.
